Does anyone know of any good insurance companies to insure me on a corsa. I am looking at either a 1.2 16v club or a 1.2 16v gls. I looked on parkers and these are both insurance groups 2 so would I be able to get a good quote for them. I will try confused and moneysupermarket but I was just wondering if their is anyone in perticular that I can try who are good with corsas. I will be modifying my corsa so I need a company who are good with mods and don't charge to much for them. A few details about me

18 years old
licence held for 8 months
live in east sussex
0 ncb
car will be garaged

Does anyone have any tips for getting insurance cheaper like should I include my dad on my policy or should I go on my own. Is their any companies who offer cheap insurance and have the bonus accelerator policy where you can earn no claims in less than a year. Any advice anyone can give me would be very much appreciated.

bonus accelerators are pointless, as you have to renew every 10months.....

Quinn Direct, I have a brill deal with them. Premium doesn't go up on any mods unless it's more than a 10bhp increase.

thanks for the replies. I have heard that quinn direct offer good quotes I might try them. I think they come up on confused.com . I am not looking to make any modifications to the engine or anything I am just modding the exterior and interior of the car. So do quinn not put the premium up if I declare the mods? . Are their any other companies who wouldn't change more for the mods. So should I not go with the bonus accelerator policy's are they not that good. I will give all the suggested companies a go and see what I can get. I do think alot of them come up either at confused.com or moneysupermarket.com . Any more suggestions?

That is possibly the stupidist thing i've ever heard! I have a 10 month bonus accelerator, i'll have 4 yrs NCB 8 months earlier than if i was on a 12 month policy!

I just went to both confused.com and moneysupermarket.com and the cheapest quote I got was £1150 from swinton . This was a quote for a 1.4 corsa merit . Is this what price I am going to have to pay. I knew I would have to pay quite a bit but I thought I would get it for under £1000. Also I don't know with any of these companies if they charge extra for mods. Any ideas if I can get cheaper than this or what to try to get the price down.

Norwich Union

my situation in first year -

94 Corsa LS (1.4)
17 Male
2 mths license
low insurance area

£1330 TPF+T
but if i added my 17 y/o GF on it would have brought it down (shockingly) to £800

That was online

Same happened for me this year as well, would have been £560 FC for the sri, even with 2 years NCB, but when i put GF on it came down to £392

Still the best quote I have for a 1.4 corsa merit is £1150 from swinton. Is that about right for my circumstances. Does anyone think I can beat this. I have tried all the companies that have been suggested but none of them come close to my best quote. If their is anyone who hasn't been mentioned who anyone think could be worth trying I would like to hear from you. does anyone know if my area is high risk the start of my postcode is TN31 . I live in East sussex not to far from hastings.
