An E36 328 cab isnt that fast, but for well under 7k you could get an M-tec kitted one that looks like an M3 and will have a decent amount of power to cruise about in. Get anything but a Z3 ffs lol

An E36 cab is an E36 with the roof cut off, the Z3 was built as a convertible, which is going to drive better?

But surely you wouldn't buy a convertible for the driving factor, you'd buy it for the posing factor.

Which is going to get more looks, a boxy E36, or a curvy Z3?

Was actually built on the e30 3 series platform
z3's are extremely gay I wouldn't want to be seen in one, e36 is a bit of a 'car for the boys' but it's better than a z3 imo.

So the lads are going to appreciate an E36 more, thus making it GAYER
edit - it may well have been built on an E30 platform Tom, but all the suspension is different and most of it was re-engineered properly, the E36 is never going to drive as well.

No that was a negative I meant a 3-series has a stigma attached, but it's less so thatn a z3
Imagine telling people you'd bought a z3
I would bin off the convertible idea tbh for that budget and get something proper (probably jap for that budget).
