gyms are for gays, if you want to get fit take up a sport of some form, football, rugby etc
footballers, rugbymen and almost any other sports do wight lifting for strength training.
Weight lifting isn't always about being bigger

not many men get osteoporosis, its thought osteoporosis in women is caused by hormone from "the pill" getting into water systems, so not that relevant to a man as a need to do weight training.
as for the anaerobic thing, yes your right i meant aerobic, which is better for you generally than weight training
i have oesteoperosis, a rare juvenile form called oesteochondritus dissecans. had 3 ops on it. docs predicted i'd be wheelchair bound but i kept training and skating and its better than docs predicted, hence i'll never give up training

it is. was absolutly gutted to find out. at 14 i went to hospital thinkin it was a locked knee. doctors told me they had no idea what it was my surgeon took my records away and held a conference with other specialists cos they had to determine a course of action said it was quite new for them. can't complain though, people much worse off and i've beaten the odds in regards to a normal mobile life and playin contact sports for the last 8 years when i was told to quit or stop walking

People training use mirrors to keep an eye on their form, I find it hard to train with no mirrors around
