hiya evryone
what is the different between the early c16xe and the later gsi engine could anyone tell me please. because i am thinking about converting my 1.2 16v corsa it is just a stainght swop really.

One is a C16XE, the other the X16XE.
The C16XE has 109BHP as opposed to 106 and it also has a better head design. It doesn't have all the emission junk also.

so it would be better to get a c16xe than a x16xe

GSI wise, yes. If it's in good condition. If your only buying an angine, no. The X16 was used up until 2000. You can pick up a low mileage engine for not much money.

no if i got a c16xe i will re-build it and will it fit in a corsa 1.2 16v with out changin like the mounts or anything. what the 0-60 time is there alot of different

.2 of a second difference 0-60. I'm not sure about putting it into your 1.2. Best to have a search.

so really it is still better to get the c16xe but they are rare now so a x16xe would still be good then
