need to change my oil, but the haynes manual says i need a torqe wrench which i don't have or know how to use. Can anybody tell me how?

i never used a torque wrench when changing the oil in my 12v.
spanner to remove the filter cover, torx bit to remove the sump nut.
then the same torx bit to replace the nut, i just tightened it until it was tight and then put the filter cover on by hand

HE won't need a torx bit, as it's a 1.2

i thought that the 12v and 1.2 16v were exactly the same apart from the missing cylinder on the 12v.

it says the filter housing needs specified torque

eazy187 i didnt i just done it up tight then i use a oil chain to tight it up a lil more

just to confirm the 1.2 16v filter is in something to the right of the bay its not a metal one incase thats what your talking about
