Ive been doing the whole tying to get fit thing recently, lost over a stone since xmas and started going swimming 3 or 4 times a week now, but the pool was closed 2nite for a Scout's swimming gala. Im thinkin about going in the morning, but is it likely to be busy and or full of really fit people training who would show me up?

When I used to swim at one club we had allocated lanes in the morning and public would have the other side of the pool, at the other club we had the whole pool and public were not allowed admitance until we finished training at 07.30

morning swim is best, between 7 and 9 ppl swim before work. best to call ur local pool as we used to train in the mornings so may be off limits to ppl while the clubs are training

our local pool also does an adults master class, and adults only sessions late in the eve's during the week

What annoys me is that at our local one, they have a women only session because women supposedly 'feel threatened' by men. If anything, they should feel threatened by women, the amount they bitch.

The same swimming pool as about 2 lanes open to the public, due to the swimming club using it ALL the time.

Bet they don't do a male only night, as some men are bound to be sensitive about their body.

No, what I'm saying is, there IS a womens only night, but not a mens.

May be men don't want to go swimming with a bunch of women that do breast stroke up and down, next to each other, chatting.
