I changed to Industrial Product Design, but my course is pretty much the same as this one, however I learn to colour in and the APD guys learn about automotive electronics and safety....

Plus at degree level I would really steer clear from anything with Engineering in the title, unless you like maths and writing computer programs for maths and want to have sex with maths and like maths. Maths.

I feel for you. I send my deepest sympathies...
A few of my friends are doing Mech Eng.... They seem to like it, but it isn't the sort of thing I would do.

For one of my modules, Dynamics 1, we have a lecturer who seems to think we are all Einstein.
'And I won't go through this in much detail as its just maths, you just need to use double angle formulae and its all easy'
Then after we spend about 40 minutes in class trying to solve one example, where most of the students don't understand what the hell she is doing - 'Oh, this is and easy one by the way, the ones I set in the exam will be much more difficult'.
I mean, WTF?

Sounds like our engineering tutor. Bearing in mind we had to do the odd engineering module and I got a grade D in lower tier maths at GCSE I struggled. That was untill he set the coursework. All the answers were in the book which he took the questions from

I'm doing Mechanical and Automotive engineering.
Sounded good 4 years ago when there was an automotive industry in this country. Waste of time IMO now that there is little to no auto industry.
Don't expect to learn anything interesting either as regards the auto side of things - or at least I never did, as they seemed more more intent on making us learn the maths behind weight transfer, NVH, damping characteristics etc etc. .
