Wonder why they changed the inlet, pistons, gearbox (closer ratio than the WRX, P1 and Type R?), yet use the same turbo on the R, hence not needing the uprated internals?

marc meant throughout the entire 2.0 turbo range... not over 22B. The STi's have uprated internals over WRX's etc

Ahhh im with you, 22B is a completly different engine then?

I would hope with an 8k rev limit they'd have some uprated internals

again, massively depends on budget.

They feel bigger (and are) than the other two. They cost most to run, drink more fuel etc.

R32, R33, and R34 are all similar power wise.... getting slightly more powerfull as the number go up.

You'll get a nice R32 for 8k
You'll get a nice R33 for 13k
You'll get a nice R34 for 22k

The R33 is the odd one out in my opinion... isnt quite as aggressive as the R32 and R34...

The r32 is the lightest and most agile, the R34 is a BIG car when your next to it.

Only consider GTR's... an Evo or impreza will be better than a GTSt

there is a hell of a difference between the GTS-t and the GTR

On paper its only about 30bhp but the GTR is much quicker and better

Andy - did you notice any difference in the 32 (if you can remember the 33!)

Well, you lost me when you got all techy about page 3 but... I waded through the rest of your answers-arguments-debate with interest

Poll came in with a resounding victory for Evo

At the end of the day it will all boil down to what is around when I start to shop.... Jay's just been showing me some Supra pics so who knows what I will end up with

Really must learn not to listen to him

Thanks for making this such an interesting thread

Di

I've had 3 of the 4....

Skyline GTR and Supra are much bigger cars suited to bigger roads liek motorways.

Evo and Impreza are better round town and on twisty roads.

Supra is less practical than the rest... rears seats are a joke, as is the boot.
