In my 1.2 8v iv experienced funny idling.

I reversed my car off my driveway this morning, switched my engine off as i were gonna put my cd player on (face is in glovebox). Went to turn it back on and then the car was shaking and i had to put my foot right down to get keep it running.

About 7pm tonight went to straighten my car up as me mam drove it and it just would'nt start, took a good 5 minutes and went funny again, so a sat revving it slightly for a couple of minutes.

Any idea what it could be?

I know these engines dont have many sensors so could be anything lol

see how it is tomorrow morning. You dont need to switch the engine off to put the face on the stereo, you know

But it was locked up in the glovebox

It had done it once more before....a few months ago tho

mine done it a couple of times. Take out the ICV and clean it up with carb cleaner, it's a piece of piss to do on those engines.

This is on a 1.2 16v but its in exactly the same place on the 8v, might look a little different. Its bolted on by two torx bolts
