Was thinking of finally going for a project corsa so wanted a new shell to start with. This would be an ongoing thing as I'm only a student
Anyway, I've been stuck recently as to what I want. Either a black 1.4 16v sport or a carabic blue GSi. Both would have GSi kit and subtle mods. Beings as I'm only 18 and 0NCB have a lot of you been able to insure a GSi easily?
Thanks

you'll have high quotes for a gsi tbh. I have a 1.4 black sport at 18 0NCB and mines £800 fully comp, but thats kind of lucky i think. Got quotes for a 1.6 at 1800+

corsa gsis are very expensive to insure, its not really because of ther insurance group but because so many young chavs own them and write them off etc. Seen as a boy racers car if you like. It cost me less to insure a 2001 renault megane 2l 16v which was a group 14 than a corsa gsi which is older, worth less and is several group lower

If you do buy a gsi make sure you check it over thoroughly as they can be very unreliable.

Its in a lower tax band aswell isn't it? The main diff is the insurance I think it'll be 1600/1700 atleast for a GSi. Thing is though I was going to go TPFT for a year or 2. In general whats the best insurance for TPFT?

p.s. JM I'll have to come and spy on your corsa as your not that far from me!

Sport will be easier to insure, you'll probably want the 1.6 after a year though.
