why dont they import these turbos over here, surely could be adapted for an sri etc?

Not really worth it tho. That looked quick, but 180km/h is still only 111mph, 1.4 and 1.6 sports are quicker. Works out much cheaper to buy a bigger engine.

and, as you can see at the start of the vid, it broke a piston and snapped 4 of the rockers, bigger engine without a turbo wouldn't.

but that turbo on a 1.4 8v? theres a super charged 1 tht looks even faster aswell
