http://www.jttweb.co.uk/cv.pdf

It is meant to be for technical roles, primarily development roles.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Just an idea, but can the grey be changed to a bit of a brighter colour. Just subtle but to make it stand out a little more?

You mean a lighter grey or a different colour?

Possibly, although i've never been a fan of colourful CVs unless its a graphic design CV IMO.

I mean a different colour.

I know what your saying about colourful cv's but just where its grey maybe a different colour. Just so when a person looks at it it stands out from the others.

Yeah I see what your saying, perhaps a very pale blue or orangey colour.

I'll see what I can come up with.

Yeah, nothing like yellow or red, just a very subtle colour change and i think it will stand out more.

Looks good otherwise

i think the little graphic is a nice little touch, but i do agree, change the grey to a light neutral colour, nothing to strong.

If you got illustrator, open that and go to the swatches library, then open swatch library and see if you have a "Neutral" one, open it that will give you an idea.

Think the CV is ok though, its not web design is it? your more the development/coding side, so you don't have to show any of your work? Althought couldn't you show some of your work so they can test the site and see if it works etc?

A hands-on developer with a variety of experience in Microsoft based technologies on web based projects now looking for a new challenge and range of exciting opportunities.

I didnt read it, as it didnt make any sense to me

Its completely different to mine, but that expected. Id change the grey to a nice blue colour though, there is nothing wrong with having a bit of colour on there.

Well it's web design and development, more on the coding side though like you said. I am currently redesigning my personal site to incorporate a portfolio etc.

Thanks for the input guys.

TBH Barclays is pretty much the only place where I have technical experience, thats why i've written so much.

Pretend your the bloke that has to sit and read all of these appliactions. Theres your with a massive chunk and then theres a lads with neat, short bullet points that get to the point. Which one you gonna throw in the bin ?
And dont think they read every CV in detail they take a look at some and sling em.
