I got my new job through an agency...so can't complain.

Just give them a call...chat...ask when they think you're likely to hear back, ask a bit more about the job...that way you just seem to be interested rather than pushy

Also, while you're here, do you think it would put companies off that i'm still at uni - due to graduate in one month.

No...most people would have to give notice anyway, so they're probably not expecting you to start straight away

Not really, I only deal with temp industrial jobs so that wouldn't be a problem.

Does this sound ok?

Dear Ann,

I was wondering if you could answer a few questions about the role in question.

- What is the nature of your client's business?
- What sort of size team would I be working in if my application was successful?
- When I am likely to hear about the status of my application?

Many Thanks,

James Turner

Alright bud, I'm a recruitment consultant although do International stuff. Your right...we do charge a fortune but, when it costs £350 PER JOB AD that you place you can understand that we have some costs to cover

Our local desks work on a 3 day lead time so if you applied on monday morning, we would send your CV monday afternoon. Let the client liasie with partners, senior HR on tuesday then expect feedback on wednesday. If you dont hear anything on wednesday, there for it NAG, CHASE, NEGOTIATE, SELL
