Basically ive had some drawings delivered this morning from jamesvalver and the glass was broken. The package is very well packed with lots of bubble wrap and has 'Glass Fragile', written on it in big letters. If i take it into the post office/sorting office before i actually open it is there any kind on compensation for the damage?
thanks for any help.

The glass won't cost much. Just go to the local glass place and they should cut you a piece.

For some reason marking something as 'fragile' makes people want to break the contents of the parcel for some reason!
Or was that just DHL only...

Glass and ceramics/china aren't covered when sent using standard parcels.

I thought 1st class was uninsured... recorded delivery was insured up to £27, and anything above that had to be sent via special delivery??

1st, 2nd class, Recorded and Standard Parcels are covered for £34. You can choose more insurance with Standard Parcels, up to £500.
