ive just bought my wife an r reg corsa but when the car first starts it starts perfect every time
it idles perfect but when i press the gas pedal (sorry for the yank term) the car splutters and the revs fall back to 1000 and chuggs
when i take my foot off the gas the car gets a short burst of revs then it idles perfect
if you tap the gas fast on and off the car will rev up till you hit 2500 rev then its fine
when you let the engine warm up (5 mins top) its also fine
ive changed the plugs they was black its the 1.2 16v so theres no dizzy or HT leads
every thing ive read so far points to a leek in the vacume pip on the throttle body but i sure would like some input from the pro's

When you flick the ignition on, the engine management light will flash on in a sequence, you'll want a pen and paper (or something) to note down the numbers.
It'll flash once for one, twice for 2 etc, and 10 times for 0, so a fault code will be like
ten flashes, pause, 2 flashes, pause, 3 flashes, pause, 5 flashes, long pause, then it'll repeat again, then a long pause, and one more time, so you can't miss the code.
After it's displayed all the codes, it'll go through them again.
There's a list of the ECUs with the engines here - http://www.topbuzz.co.uk/info/fault_codes/fault_codes.htm
you need to work out which ECU you have, then you can work out the codes.
the plug looks like this -

Topbuzz will be worth reading, as it explains it a bit better
