in need of help from anyone who has done this before. on the front bumper ive stuck on a bit of mesh from the underside using tigerseal, then used p40 fibreglass stuff all around it and then a tiny bit of p38 filler on top.
Just finished sanding it down but when i grab both ends of the bumper and twist it abit, cracks appear where the bumper and the filled recess join 
Does anyone know what i can do to fix this? (other than taking it out and plastic welding). perhaps get a sheet or 2 of fibreglass matting and put this over the front and then filler over the top maybe??
ideas would be much appreaciated.

i am sure you can buy fibre glass allready mixed like you would with filler mate

yea thats wot i did buy, the p40 stuff to fill the gap over the mesh, but i was thinkin if i could use something to place over the front of the bumper and over the cracks to give it some support? cus if i just leave it how it is and spray it, it will crack in no time at all wen the bumper flexes

erm youv got me there m8? when i used to work at springfeild they used to plastic weld bumpers then use fibre glass over the top? is there no way you can brace the bumper when its on, as my mate had to do when his smoothed in kit kept flexing?

yea plastic welding would be good just i dont have the kit for it and i fancy doing the work myself. i hant got a clue about bracing the bumper, i wouldnt no where to start. if im careful fixing it on. when its on it shouldnt flex that much n hopefuly it wud b alrite but id rather get it done right 1st time.
i could probs put fibreflass over the top but the thing is, at the mo its already smoothed in and pretty much ready to paint and if i put fibreglass over the cracks n stuff it will just be raised above the bumper and would need taking off again to make it flush with the bumper if you can understand that? im stumpted

well my mate used shelf brackets adapted to hold his skirts, why not jus use a soldering iron?

so do u just put the 2 plastic bits together and just kinda weld along the join all the way down melting the plastic into each other?

ah k, if this thing starts to crack when its on or something il try plastic welding a plastic piece on. not sure where il find a piece of plastic wiht the same contours though.

make sure you do the welding on the inside of the bumper

yes and then fibre glass the outside up or you colud just leave gsi badge on
