Take some pics I'm afraid it is another 'washed my car today' thread, again.
Anyway, she was looking a pretty sorry state - hate letting it get that dirty. The arches were even a different colour to other black plastics, sorry

So, I washed, shammyed, black2blacked (yes, I need to buy a heat gun) then polished the left side, which didn't look any different to the right, so I didn't carry on (plus it was dad's Auto Glym he got bought for Christmas).
The location is about the best I could find in Biggleswade near where JayCarr had his Total Vauxhall shoot. Just shows how immense Biggleswade is. . .or not.

And then, when walking out of the missus', the car caught the light well and looked pretty good imho.

The black plastics on the front bumper are much darker than on the wheel arches, even after back2blacking, as it is a new bumper after the crash. Hopefully, it'll catch up with the other plastics without touching it etc.
I hope to get it looking like this in the lifetime I have it.

gsi spoiler
nice exhaust
lowered
wheel refurb
job's a good'un
the polish won't always make it shine better, but it will repel the dirt and dust much better and stay shinier for longer as it act's as a protective layer.

If you do try the heatgun trick be careful.
I melted one of my arches the other day.

Naughty.
Cheers for the advice Ben - looks like the left will be looking better in a month
I don't actually want to get a GSi spoiler. Like it without.
Nice exhaust is next on the list. Would like to lower, however, seem to carry a lot of people in it often.

harsh. You have to start somewhere.
I think it would look quite tidy lowered and then an exhaust on it.

With regards to the arches being a different colour as the bumpers, what black to black did you use? I tried using some wax stuff n looked shite..
Also whats this heat gun option.. whats that do?
Cars looking clean and tidy, a good start..

I used the Maguiars (sp?) back-to-black. The arches are only a different colour because the front bumper is newer
Putting a heat gun to it basically melts it black - you have to be careful not to touch the paint work or actually melt the trim.
