that happened a fair few times to me, first time it happened i was affriad to fly the kite for months, would set it all up and just stand there without flying it untill the wind dropped lol.. finaly got the courage and got into a buggy and got realy good at it. got a wide axel for it so i could go faster with a bigger kite in higher winds. but just packed it in a few years ago

oh try suspended kite flying aswell. fuckin rocks had a rope tied to the back of my harness that was about 25meters long and about 10 people holding it to pull me back. in the air was a 6.2 elliot echoe (forgot name of kite) wich HUGE winds. i fuckin shit my self and i was the smallest and youngest lad there, everyone else except the kite owner was affraid. i nearly killed my self londed in the sea when i was falling down. SCARY

good idea.. just try get involved in a group and make friends who are into the sport and good, free lessons then flying the kite is simple when you get the hang of the power
