today i fitted a stereo to a nova

frost blue
17k genuine
1 owner
outer body work immac,
bulkhead needed a little attention
totaly and untterly original,

well till i fitted the headunit, that old i had to make a wiring loom for it

1987 iirc e reg

just thought id share the highlight of my day today

havent done that in a while

nope a fine young lass owns it.
and has a fine young lass mate too

sat there chatting to em, while pulling various panels off to route the wire'ing

after that any car i did i didnt have the passion for
focus c-max, nissan micra, bmw 3 series, all seemed dull in comparison

oooh, i bodged a mk4 golf cdplayer, into a '92 transporter.....
thats fun,
who would of guessed it needs a feed from the ecu

the c-max handbrakes are dodgy as hell.... dont pull the red handle under the armrest lol....

i drove one today it was like a little lever in the middle felt strange

but then again so did having POWERSTEERING

new espace handbrake is automatic

too much electric stuff imo

not like old cars when somthing fails you can limp it to where no need to be, and fix it afterwards
new cars if 1 thing fails i gues the car is going on the back of a transporter

I feel our pain adam, I fitted a stereo in a polo, the previous owner had cut the VW connectors off the just fitted a try. I had to make a whole new loom, only thing remaining was the front two speaker wires!
