yes, its a c16xe. later x16xe had the silver metal upper inlet.

TBH you'd be better off spending that tuning money on a better ctd car to start with. Funnily enough i can think of a stonking one!

C20XE - Been there done that had awesome fun. Time to move on i think Startin to raise funds for a house with the mrs so just want a cheap Gsi as i wanted one for ages and its cheap for me to insure.

Well said just wanted to know incase i do decide to tune up the GSI- i am talking as if i have one i haven't ebven sold mine yet - really keen bloke coming this weekend though so fingers crossed

If you don't want to spend a huge amount just go down the inlet and remap route, that would release around 20bhp and make the car so much more fun to drive.

as rach said iain, an inlet, and exhaust make enough diffrence to make the 1600 seem intresting

only thing with that one iain, running an FSE (bad bad things), bracket for air box is fucked and bent (would annoy me)

The airbox bracket could be fixed the FSE issue can you take these off and what do they actually do?

adjustable valve which puts nearly twice the amount of fuel in when up the rev range iirc
