how much would a rebuilt xe cost?

my engine is in bits again n im thinking would it be worth changing the piston rings as there is slight slap on piston 4?

bare in mind the engine will be removed and replaced before pvs.

depends what bits you buy but for standard parts i.e. Piston rings, bottom end shells, valve stem oil seals and gaskets, cambelt kit. it'll cost around £300 - £400. But bear in mind if you do choose to rebuild it then it won't run optimum power until its had quite a few thousand miles on it as they need time to loosen up.
