in driver footwell behind the plastic panel to the right of the accelerator pedal.

That was on 1.4 1.6 though but i should imagine its the same??

i think the 1.0 12v and 1.2 16v have the ecu in the engine bay
(do not quote this as i am probably wrong)

on the engine sort of where the distributor would be on an 8valve

the power steering ecu thingey is behind the plastic panel in the drivers side footwell on a 99 sxi, my guess is the engine bay.

Well i dont have power steering and i have a ecu behind a bit of plastic by the accelerator. Thats a 1.2 8v

It's in the engine bay. Definately 100% without a doubt.

i have found two leads in the passenger side footwell, undid one and all the electrics went off, so i take it thats it, they were two of them

no, thats the car looms.

ecu is on the side of the engine on the 1999 1.2 16v engines.
