Got this today, looking forward to getting it on. Just need to get something organised in the way of heat management and get a new gasket. Not sure whether to heat wrap it? Heard mixed reports.

lol, To be honest I've never seen a report of one on a S2 Rallye... I'd of thought a Rallye would benefit more from a 4-1 as it's already got a shed load of low down torque.

Ive only heard good things on 8v's, Lucky Bs 16v made at least 2bhp and alot smoother torque curve with the Raceland compared with a GMC 4-1 also. I did consider the 4-1 but heard they hang VERY low which cant be good on an already low car, and Kenich had both and said he didnt notice any difference at all! Good considering it was only £135, the design is also the same as the Devil manifold which the most expensive of the 4-2-1s available for the 8v and considered the best for performance. Il have to see for myself though I guess!

Have you? You know what my memories like
Jr and Robin, care to elaborate? Why do you say that? I know stainless steel is more brittle and with the heat condensed may be more liable to crack.
Its got funny little things welded to it for what could only be a heat shield only the standard one wont fit? lol.

My mates had a few of these, has one on his ax 16v track car just now. He has it heat wrapped and the difference is amazing, you can grab the manifold and it only feels warm even after it running for ages. Hes never ahd any problems caused by it being wrapped.

They are more likely to crack if they are wrapped, and it wouldn't really gain you much.

True in theory but havent had any personal experience of a manifold cracking due to the wrap.. Personal choice I suppose. His ax 16v has that manifold, a pug sport exhaust and a filter and has 146bhp.. VERY good manifolds IMO.

Yes yes I know, or DID anyhow! Im sure if the 16v manifolds are up to scratch then the 8v ones shouldnt be far off.
Had been debating combe, although I think il be saving myself. Doing pugfest, fcs and rally day again though for which ive got track time.
Off topic I know but you going to any? Dunno how many runs to order for pugfest. Have you managed to get track time at FCS if your going? Also are you on talk-torque.com? Kenich is, its a decent site.
Got a new head coming in the next few weeks and its quite special, might save it til after Pugfest at least though cos I know its gonna get some abuse!
