After my recent problems I'm looking to have an alarm fitted to my Corsa C SXI. I'm after something thatchem (sp?) approved (Cat 1 Preffered). Extra toys such as anti-hijack, auto closing windows etc would be nice. Any advice/reccomendations would be appreciated. Looking to spend between £150 and £300

Had a toad (possibly 101) on my last car and it went off when when someone broke in but not until they had bent the door back and opened it. Seemed a decent alarm tho.
Would it be possible to have the alarm working off the original vaux key?

Cliffords do a range of alarms for different budgets and you can add certain things to them I *think* such as self-closing windows etc etc. But then like toad alarms people have mixed opinions of them. I've got a Clifford alarm and it's good- only fault I can say is that its quite sensitive so even the smallest gust of wind sets it off
This link might help you I thought:

Had my toad ai606 alarm fitted with 'lazy' windows for £250. Seems decent enough and came recommended by alot of people.

Cliffords are also good but IIRC i read that they are more of a pain to install which is why people sometimes get problems with them, but as long as you get someone with alot of experience doing them you should be happy and hassle free. Clifford does have a very wide range of add-ons though.

Behind my work is a Alarm and ICE specialist and they don't sell TOAD alarms anymore as they had so many problems with them.
Not saying they are all crap but they just expressing what they have told me!
