billet 3 peice wheels with spun aluminium rims.

Thats the only impressive thing i can see in that photo

what makes it worse is that they have probably got inner tubes in them to push the side walls out that far.

The reason he has done it is because hes had to so the tyre is under the arch and still legal.

I have stretched tyres on my golf, thought it would be a bit dodgy myself but i s'pose theres 30lb of pressure on the other side that thinks otherwise!!

i think ou need to understand dub to understand the streached tyres. My mate has a Mk3 and he streches his, plus another lad had a polo with streched tyres to, its the euro way to do it!

should of put a 215 tyre or somthing similar over a 9j rim ive got 195s on 8j and thats enuff of a stretch imo .. and still perfectly safe .. just got to watch the rim when parking lol

I think people understand the whole 'stretch it a bit' thing, but that really is taking it too far, it's just dangerous and looks silly.

That Polo looks fine. My tyres on my 18's are strtched a bit so that the sidewalls aren't so tall. I think that's what we were trying to achieve at least

I remember years ago a fella that used to turn up at the Chelsea cruise in a potty MK I in black primer with all the chrome removed that had 175/50/13 Yokohama A008RSs on 7.5 x 13 RS 2000 X-Pack rims.

That looked amazing, but I always wondered how the hell they fitted and if it was safe.
