could a protec 4-1 for a 1.6sport be cut just before it goes uder the sump and made into a 4-2-1 so theres only two pipes under the engine.its a good quality manifold and dont have £200 to buy a janspeed at the minute.

It could, but as it's stainless, it'd cost you quite a lot after buying 2 collectors, a right angle bend, some straight pipe and having it all welded up again.
