yesterday i tried to change a car stereo... got the power all sorted out but can't find the way to connect the speakers. am left with 7wires coming from the stereo (1green, 1green+black, 1purple, 1 purple+black, 1grey, 1 grey+black, 1 white) and 8 from the connector (beige, pink, green, purple, 2brown, grey, orange)

any ideas?

Do you not have what's called an ISO adapter over there?

Basically converts the standard stereo connector to after market. This does depend what age car yours is though...for example my 2000 W-reg didn't need one.
