been in talks back and forth with the bank about my charges for months now
i havent used any of my 2 bank of scotland accounts due to this shit state they are in due to charges,
i recieved a letter last week for one account giving me £499 back but they have put the bank account £549 overdrawn,
had no correspondace from them on my 2nd account which was registered at the same time under the same refrence number, so as any1 would, i called them last week and created holy hell,
told i'd be called back in 48hours with an offer,I wasnt
the whole time ive kept a log ofmy calls and lettersand the bank has NEVER kept to there timescales and always let me down,
so today, another phone call, and ive been offered the £549 on the 1st account and £748 on my 2nd account,
BUT i wasnt happy, as the £549 is gonna just cover the shit state the acount is in so i then asked them to close both bank accounts, and because of the shit service ive had i wanted both amounts sent out in cheque form, and the debt written off,
I AM FUCKING DELIGHTED now, as ive got the full amount and none of it is going to cover the unpaid charges they levied on my account,
wooohooo

how the hell did you let it get so bad you had just under £1300 of charges? As soon as i get any charges i just ring up and have them reversed tell them a little white lie if needs be, never had any more than 2 charges though let alone that amount.
I hate banks anyway, only use mine for direct debits, Try keeping everything to a cash only basis ....

because they refused to pay charges back to me so i refused to pay them, and stopped using my account completly,
they piled the charges on,
missed direct debits
overdrawn
going past overdraft limit,
it all mounts uo, i was charged for all of them every month when i didnt use my account,so i slowly moved all my direct debits and paid them every month,
obviously its the bank in the wrong or i wouldnt of got it back

then you must have a lot of direct debits for them to add upto £1300 after only 1 or 2 months of them not being paid and charges being made.
