iv got a piper stainless de-cat on my 1.6 sport atm and to be honest its pants, its tinny, raspy and i just dont like it. any body know who does a decent de-cat thats not tinny and has a silencer in. any suppliers? cheers

its just the way ther 1.6 sport sounds with a decat, the whole point in havinb a de-cat is for the sound, just put a standard cat on and get a full stainless with middle and back silencers then it will sound mint, wont be loud but wont be tinny! will be deeper

the raspyness goes away when it gets warmed up, its just the bloody tinny noise it makes it sounds pants i hate it.

I can't understand it. Either Exhaust UK are fantastic or mine is broken.
I don't ever have that rasping noise. Only if it coming apart from the de-cat to middle section.

ive got an exhaustuk system too. decat, one center silencer, and no backboxes (quad exits) - No rasp at all. Was about £600 all in tho!

The raspy sound can depend on the wall thickness of the stainless, the thinner it is the raspier it is.
Bore size of your system makes a difference too
