Since when did it take 4 days for a cheque to clear and why does the money appear in my account for me to spend and then suddenly dissapear.

I think I should go to work and demand cash too. Cheques are rubbish.

I had bills to pay I thought it was 3 days too, the lady at the bank told me 4. I think I will ask for BACS or wait 5 days in the future.

I hate it when that happens.

The amount of times Ive paid a cheque in, its shown up in my account online as being paid in but the money not available yet, and then they take out a direct debit and make me overdrawn when they know money is going in.

And then charge me for it

I have all my apartment bills coming out, that seem to like to change dates when they take the money by 2 or 3 days each time

Couple of hundred in it at the moment but got an expensive weekend coming up so that will be gone. Savings account is looking healthy though
