GF wants to hire a car when we go to corfu in may but she dont want to drive so looks like its me.
just wondered if its hard driving on otherside and been sat on other side?

well i drove to the shops once in america, should have done ti but it was around the corner and i was in a big 5.9 v8 dodge durago, felt wierd but the car was stupid quick for a 4x4

Iv driven in Spain a few times now, its always confusing when you first do it especially when you come up to a roundabout, but you will be surprised how quickly you pick it up

if im totally honest i find it easier than britain to drive abroad everything is more simplified.
in lanzarote they have hardly any signs round the island and i still found my way ok, in britain i get lost with signs for everwhere

i was thrown in at the deep end the other year. Rush hour in Athens, surprising how easy it is, just islands get a bit confusing the first few times, just dont try and change gear with the window winder like i did

I did it in the Middle East and it is honestly, a piece of piss. The hardest part was driving with the crazy ay'rabs.
The hardest thing to do I found, is using the gear stick with the other hand.
The best advice I can give is to try and get an automatic motor. It gives you more time to concentrate on driving in unfamiliar places and with other nationalities who drive in a different way to your average UK motorist.
