After speaking to the guy at APi it looks like the car is off to be repaired next week
I explained to him what happened with the car and it spilling its oil everywhere and he said it was a common problem that if the oil filter isn't done up super tight on them that they can loosen themselves and thus do what mine did. He did not seem to think that theres a hole in the engine as he said the car would be unlikely to run if there was a hole in it. So thats better news
Looking forward to getting it back, gotta be run in for 1500 miles, but i'm getting used to cycling everywhere at the moment

Engine is/ was completely standard. Fee got a 13.2 in her one and Marc who is running similar bhp to the STi has also run a 13.2 before.
As for Santa Pod, the Impreza will not be gracing the strip again

PS you dont need to run an engine in, youl get a better performing engine if if you drive it hard straight away, a lot of bikers ride new bikes hard

You dont need to run some engines in, especially modern ones. But TVR and Subaru engines definitely DO need to be run in more so if they have been rebuilt!

there is alot of controvicy about what ways best. AK ran his in on the rollers, we will only fulfill warentee work on an engine if its been run in for 1000 miles, rev limiters are set to 4k etc! i dont believe its wise to kill it out the door
