Morning guys!
just thought Id give you all an update on the MK Indy! Since I last posted, we have done the brake line runs, rear diff is fixed in, rear shafts and hubs are on and last night we put the R1 engine in!!!
Front View

Brake master cylinder

Floor pan

View under the back

Rear brake line runs

R1 engine waiting to go in - So light I reckon I could have lifted it in myself!

Fitting the mounting frame to the engine

Engine in

Another view

Getting a bit carried away

In about 4 weeks......................

Next job is gear linkage, throttle bodies on the engine, propshaft and a bit of plumbing!!! If you ever get the opportunity to build a car - DO IT!!!

That easy? Fair enough! For £6k thats a serious bit of kit! Still more money than i have to spend on my everyday car so won't be splashing out £6k on a toy!!! Will be bags of fun though
May be a stupid question but is it going on the road? Will it need an SVA test? Or is it just going to be trailered to tracks and the pod?

The kit we got is the Indy - http://www.mksportscars.co.uk/indy.htm
We paid £2625 for the basic kit - On top of that you need diff, hubs, brakes, prop, shafts and manifold but you can buy the whole lot off them for £3200ish which is what we did. Then you also need engine, seats, clocks and wheels. I reckon your looking about £5k minimum and there's prob a fair few bits Ive forgotten about?
The car is going to be primarily a weekend backroad toy so we are having it SVA tested and made road legal but it will be seeing a fair bit of track work too!

Right guys, we are buying the wheels this weekend - What shall we go for. Bodywork is white, frame and fittings are black! Interior will be black too?
I was thinking a black mulitispoke.........15" or 17"? 16's would be perfect but I dont think there is much choice is there?
Thanks
