Are these same engine and drivetrain as golf 4 motion?

nope, the engine is the other way round, so the gearbox must be different.

engine is the same though, and the diffs/shafts probably are too.

4wd, but the engine is mounted front to back, in the golf, which is also 4wd, it's mounted side to side...

nope, they are proper v6's, not narrow angle ones
