The biggest clue he gave was a few minutes ago when he said

'write it down EXACTLY how it's written, that's quite significant'

You've got to find all the numbers in the '9' then add each of them with all the others, including each number within the words, then do about 500 bits of addition, then you'll get it.

ninety six could be classed as 9+6+96+(90-6) etc.

theres about 120 combinations you can have i think (if i worked it out right). my god as if im doing maths at this time of night.

So the hyphen is significant too, meaning it's 9, 6, 96 and 84
