Lovely motors!

I dont live too far from the Vauxhall garage, think it probably was in for a service, oh the just of living on the main test route for people taking new cars out.

Such a unique sound, as though it wanted to chuck loads more exhaust gasses out but it could do it quick enough. Watched the driver overtake another car, you wouldnt know it was a diesel until he booted it and black smoke ploomed out

I want!

They are nice , but would rather have the vxr than an oil burner, can see the appeal though....

Agreed

But for the amount of go the 888's has coupled with reasonable fuel economy they seem like very good cars

Only 100....all been sold but they keep popping up 2nd hand occasionally.

However my SRI has now got the performance of the 888. Just not the brakes and suspension!

Ahh right!

Just had a zlet astra sri go past, rather quick, sounded nice. They have a Monaro VXR in as well, probably been in a month now, cant say ive seen that out, very much doubt they will unless u turn up with the cash or a car of some class!

Yeah id say it was someone servicing them both, taking them out for a thrash, tut tut!

Its quite a good road for testing cars, hills, tight bends etc, plus a decent straight.........but it becomes victim to accidents!

Id say the zlet SRi was the last car of the day being 5:30.

ye, but they usually dont find out. if im goin to take a customers car on roadtest with the aim of givin it sum, i make sure the customers address is not near our dealership, if it is i just take the car further afield in a hope of a little fun for 5 or 10mins.

remind me never to go to your garage then.
dont you think its a breach of trust, people are paying you to fix their cars not go ragging them around

If you think the standard CDTI 150 is fast, you should try one with a Diesel Tuning UK Greenbox......

hardly a breach of trust, we roadtest them not to rag them to death but to make sure we are happy for the customer to have it back before were finished with it. its just we get to have a little fun in them along the way. u tellin me u wudnt do the same in my position, got an engine light on an astra vxr this morning, this is gonna be fun....

Oh, well that makes it alright then

People pay for you to fix it not rag it about
