Basically i had my EGR valve replaced in August because it was goosed. car worked fine until today when i was driving down the motorway and the engine management light came on. came off at the next junction as i was right next to one. Managed to get the car back to the garage that fitted the EGR originally via the RAC. He ran a test and discovered that it was the EGR at fault again. Rang the Vauxhall garage that they got the part from originally and they said that they wanted to fix it as it was still under their warranty etc. So the mechanic drove it there and its getting sorted. Basically where do i stand on the subject of labour charges? are they not going to charge as it was their part at fault or will it be a case of "we didn't fit it, go fuck yourself, you owe us £65 an hour labour"?

Sorry to go on and it may seem that i'm talking shit not expecting to pay for work done etc, but at the end of the day its their part at fault that is only 7 months old.

They shouldn't charge. They should invoice the supplier of the part, as they're having to change it due to their fault etc.
