i take it your talking about the starlet turbo ? they do 0-60 in about 7seconds and have a 135bhp 1331cc 16v turbo engine there built as good as any other toyota (japanese car) no less rattly than a corsa lol,if your talking about a uk model sr/sportif there 0-60 in about 11.4 73bhp 1331cc 16v

my mate has a 1.3 turbo starlet, jap spec.
few mods here and there and he's got over 200bhp now 
beats quite a few things being so light and fast. smokes xe corsas quite often

yea there really tuneable and weigh about 880kg for a ep82 which is anything built before 1996 on the old starlet shape the new shape is the ep91 1996 on and weighs about 920kg both the same engine 4e-fte but the older model ep82 has a ct9-a turbo where the newer ep91 runs a ct9-b turbo

wot bout mileage on them. i know theyr al pretty high these days but at wot mileage do u start getting probs with these cars. i always feel bad getting a car more than 70 000k on it.

What is the standard starlet turbo top speed? I've heard of people squeezing 130 out of one - but that was with a full car! so anyone know? around 130?

90% will still have the Jap speed limit set at 116mph iirc. With this removed they will do 130mph, maybe 135mph with a tail wind. My bro has one, I have a C20XE Corsa and it's a very close race between us. He's just ordered a FMIC, tubular manifold, HKS actuator, 350cc injectors, SARD RRFPR, dual downpipe with de-cat and EMS engine management to control it all! Won't be close anymore!
