Ive got a 1.4 8v sri and i want to put a 1.4 16v engine in it, how hard is it?

not reali worth it mate, if your gona go to the bother of transplanting an engine you might aswel put a 1.6 16v in.
as to how hard it is, id say not to hard, it can be done but your probably gona have to change quite a few parts and as i said b4 if ur gona go to the bother you might aswel make it worth while and stick a 1.6 in

i would presonally go for a 1400......as the tax is nearly half price.
and the performanc isnt a whole lot different from a 1600.
not too hard, engine, loom, ecu and maybe g-box.

If your going to want big gains in power then either get the 1.6 or a 2.0.. other than that then the 1.4 is pretty much a straight swap isnt it and cheaper to insure tax as csweatherston said

erm.....leave yourself about £500 for all the bits needed...
then however much your going to pay someone to do it.
