erm...i always thought tech 2 superceded tech 1.
therefor it should work on all cars obd complient

nope

I have tried using it on the car and it wont communicate with the ECU and the earliest date on the list is 1997.

I dont know if he has wired the speed sensor to the ECU

how do i find out lol

Im still new to this engine and it takes me a while to find things sometimes. Even with EPC at work

Paperclip test results...

Vehicle speed sensor
Throttle position sensor
Oxygen sensor (running lean)
Idle stepper motor

Looks like i have some work to do
