i want to make my car sound loud/sporty without modding the engine at all as it will cost a bomb on insurance as it already. Any body help me here? cheers!!

If it's just sound you are after get a Induction kit and back box..that will do the trick.

Why shouldn't he do it? Loads of ppl when young just want to make it sound ok..Doesn't have to be loud just a nice exhaust note thats all..

Depends on how much money you want to spend...

If you dont want to spend much, then get a drill and put a whole in your air box... if you have a small amount buy an induction kit, but if you have quite a bit to spend and want a better noise buy a back box....

when i has my old 8v wen i was 17 i wanted it to sound good but i was on a budget

my dad isa welder so he made a straight thru centre section, removed the cat and i bought a cherry bomb back box,

ohmy lord it sounded lovely, better than any of my other cars have, bar the 205 gti

i got a 1.4 8v (i think its an 8V)

EDIT; induction kit i think it is then, would i have to let my insurance know?

it won't effect your insurance. on my old 1.4 8v astra a k n n air filter made it sound altight.
