Cheers Nick

and yeah well luckily i know a few people who know their stuff when it comes to cars so they are doing a fantastic job fixing it for MUCH cheaper than a garage could (Neil, Wayne )

Garage quoted me over £1000 to fix so yeah, cheaper than that but still money i didnt want to spend!

Still its going to run mint when its done ..................................Until a drive shaft breaks probably

its all up and running
only it ticks over 1500 to 2k
there are no air leaks and tried another iac which made no diff at all
also swapped amm and a coolant temp sensor
there must be a bad earth as its like on warm up all the time, then every now and then it dips to 1k before rising to 1500 again
the rev counter gets a bit happy and starts flicking round, leading me to believe its a electrical problem
problem is tech 1 doesnt work on the tech 2 plug on the car so I cant even veiw the data lists to point me in the right direction
To the local auto electrian it may have to go!

If the rev counter flicks randomly, it may do what mine does . If I push my speedo back it tends to fix it self untill I let go .
