Anyone just watched this? They have just put what looks like some cheapo 17" alloys on an astra mk3 estate and recon they gained about 0.4 of a second better 1/4 mile time

possible due to tyres maybe? It is quite annoying though generally as they are properly chavving up the car with stupid mods then saying "see, this doesnt work eitehr" type thing, ie with the spoiler and viper stripes, but of course thats not gonna make the car go any fucking quicker

exactly, and now i bet the majority of people who watch it asume that all "boy racers" just fit a shitty back box to make it louder, and dont get any performance increase. If they compared it with just a backbox and a full system with the right bore pipe from manifold back, it would be a different story.

Could have probably got a decent second hand system for the budget of £150 they have.
On a better note have you seen the bird they try to impress
