i had it all wired in and working yesterday but for some reason there is no power getting to it today i have checked all the fuses the only thing i can think of is the amp is nakered in the active sub also when the sub is on it seems like something inside is rattling can anyone help?

Open it up see if anything has come loose? Might have been a dogey connection that has finally come off

i have tryed to open it up but for some reason the amp part seems to get caught on the box does anyone know how to get the subs out of the boxes? because there is no visible screws

Checked the remote wire from the cd player to the amp?

yes i have checked the remote wire and there is power going through it i have noticed when the cd player is off there is 12v going through the live and nothing through the remote wire when the cd player is on there is only 6 or 7 volts in the live and 6 or 7 in the remote wire

amps notorious for failing, badly cooled and get covered in sawdust (acts as an insulator) and they cook themselves.

I had the exact same problem mate! I fitted it with no problem, used it all day.. came out the next day for work and it never turned on! I was pissed so i fiddled about all conections were fine. There was voltage up to the headunit and then when you test the remote wire there was nothing. Turned out the fuse on the amp had cooked itself. believe it was a 15 amp and so i changed it for a 20 amp which i think its ment to be and its been fine!
