Does anyone else believe that we should be having licenses to have children?

reason i say this is due to the large amounts of children that people are having who are unable to support them or care for them.

recent case study in a child protection case a woman has had 12 children ALL have been removed from her care as she could not look after them or had abusive partners and is now having a 13th child which is going to be removed at birth.

WHY let these people have more and more children!! Children that will have a life going from one care home to another.

In my opinion people who dont have the ability to care for children should not be allowed to have children. I know this raises other issues but at least people should have a job before they are allowed to have children.

The costs involved to do this would easily be covered by the long term savings in providing housing for people with large amounts of children who do not work, paying for school places , paying for social workers to care and place children who cannot be properly looked after, care homes and etc.

Cases like this PISS me right off why do people have children when they cannot look after them and why should the childs life be destroyed due to the parents inability to care for them

that is my rant for the day ....

what about the rights of the child far more important in my opinion. ok you can say its your human right to have a child but far more important is the right for the child to be cared for properly.

loafofbrett- i suppose they apply for a license afterwards although you have nine months to apply in theory after you know

Agreed, ppl with no job etc shouldnt be alowed, the number of children you are allowed should go of how many you can afford to support.

ie, no job no kids, milionaire lots of kids

so what if like me you are working and got laid off half way thought the 9 months? dont tell me it has to be aborted

if you all lived in germany this post would not even be here as they pay you to have kids think its a few K as well

not being funny its not hard nor pricey to bring up kids i have 2 under 2 years old and would rather myself go without and let them have what they need (when they are older and whant named this and that then i will re morgage the house lol)
