Hey,
Was wondering what sort of power I should be looking at with the following:
Decat, full magnex system, Mantzel & remap, Cda induction.
Probably a cam and head work eventually
Its a c16xe

From what i have seen so far......
130 - 145 BHP.

Is probably worth waiting out on the inlet & just getting thottle bodies?

SBD to a lovely taper throttle body set, jenvey they are though.
i was on the phone with them today an they said on an otherwise standard X14XE other than exhaust sytem, fit throttle bodies but with these you must use C20XE injectors and they say 128bhp!
thats clean off but so is the price at £1600+vat

then fitting, fuel lines, mapping, filters, ARP rod bolts, SBD rollers....
add £800 to that £1600 and that if you are fitting it yourself!

rod bolts come with it as does filters.
but yes you are correct.
very nice set up though.

SBD are very pricy, you can get a Jenvey kit a lot cheaper elsewhere.
plus their power figures were done with the engine out of the car after 3 weeks of mapping

what u think of bike carbs dave? i have a set of cbr 1000 hanging about in the shed, keihin 39mm
worth a pop maybe?

Throttle bodies seem the better option really, just the price tag looking at at least £2000 by the looks of it  Although they seem to get the bigger gains & allow for more power?
