a van ...

wierd choice i guess, but i'm plannin on putting alot of work into it.

(dark wheels/suspension/stealth install/smoked lights/chipped/intercooler)

as it stands, its one of the last mk4 vans being on an '05 plate, just gone past 18k so she's still young and imacculate everywhere.

main reason for buying, i work at tweeks in wrexham and have a 50mile a day trip to and from so i needed something economical and the corsa was gettin tired.

anyways, here are some pics. let me know what you think

(just use your imagination)

Good solid vans. My bro had a 2.0 version and it went well considering. Shit brakes though

the brakes on this one are pretty good tbh.

its got vauxhalls new abs system so it stops ok.

waiting on an irscher grill and springs. the suspensions hard with it being a van so i didn't want to replace it all.

will see what the 35mm drop looks like and if it isn't enough, i'll get some coilovers from work.

anything i should watch out for or anything you guys have heard go wrong?

i wish i could use photoshop ... just need to sell the corsa and get som wheels.

is it just me or do 17's look small in the astra arches. most ones i've seen that look nice have been 18's.

dunno whether its a good idea for the mileage i'll be clockin up tho.

aaagh decisions!!!

Id get 18s but cheapish tyres as i doubt you'll be throwing it around on corners (no offence) .

That way you can have 18s and not worry about the price of tyres.

Timbaland, Astravans are pretty good round corners!

17's look good, but 18's will fill the arches far better

i think it'll have to 18's.

it is pretty chuckable tbh ... its basically brand new so everythin is still stiff, tyres are shitty though. budget things that vx threw on at its first service before i got it.

just found a white one on here on 18" comp mo's. fit as!!!! definately gonna go down the same line, subtle ... bit more engine mods tho

No, you're probably right, i was just guessing, not trying to slate anyone.

Its an intresting colour and you sound like you know exactly whats happening. Hope to see it at some shows in the summer

Good luck with it mate

dont go 18", drop it on its arse on either 16s or 17s- prob 17" gsi alloys(if yours is a 5stud) . Also they need to be anthrite and have lots of spokes , gsi front bumper, side skirts , shark eye smoked headlights and an irmy grill. Nice twin 2" round bb on it too.

I used to have a red 1.7td, good vans , cheap to run too and go well when warm
