could someone just post a of their engine bay, 1.6 16v gsi. And i have nearly finished my head gasket (what a nightmare!) but the conduit (rectangle) than runs behind the inlet, i have what seems to be an earth strap left off  Where does it go to?

either to the right hand side of the lower inlet manifold or onto the alternator top bracket.

cheers, when you say lower inlet, where exactly do u mean? the join or the join to the block?

i think it's where the lower inlet meets the top part of the inlet. Should be a hole for a screw
