i got a quote off them over phone, they said £191. i rang up a few hours later as they were the cheapest, said i had forgot about my points and mods and they said its ok we dont charge for them
checked and they are on my documents
and they mirrored my 5 years NCB on my other car with CIS with no proof
outstanding service, HIC wanted 706 for the same policy AND they already got 700 off me for another policy!

HIC are good when it comes to a claim iirc, they gave me solicitors etc. and although it took a while to get the money, thats cos the girl that drove into my parked, unattended car was denying responsibility, the i got offered a 50/50 split, which I laughed at and got paid out in full Unfortunately I had to leave them upon renewal as prices had taken a hike that year following a large payout which had a knock on affect on young drivers. I will be phoning them in a couple of months time though, give them another chance.

CIS didn't charge me for my points when I got them, and my premium still fell at end of year renewal. I don't have the points anymore tho, but I still had to declare them to Direct Line on my current policy.

I got an SP30 back in october, told my insurance about it, and they said it wouldnt affect my renewal price. I think points for speeding are starting to have less of an impact on premiums these days as insurance companies have become wise to the fact that traffic police are c*nts!
