me (not experienced mechanic and first time car owner) and my father (experienced mechanic for god knows how long etc) have been arguing over lowering. as far as he is concered 40mm is alot and will ruin the ride.
so obviously me wanting 60mm didnt go down tooo well.

he is on about how i will feel every bum0p and pot hole and how stupidly low it will be. just curious about opinions

the car as it stands (washed )

and a pic of the height

your worse at taking pics than Steve!!!!

Yes lowering your car will ruin your comfortability, but who gives a fuck???

You have to expect that.

your not old so dont care about a bumpy ride. 40mm is fine if you have wheels of an incorrect offset and 60mm if your offset is between 45-49.

edit: your title reminds me of that song, how low can ya go, can ya go down low. all the way to the floor. lol

Can lower 90 if you really want.

If you choose 40 or 60, its still going to be uncomfy, but 60 looks so much better.

check your offset before lowering.

i would say your offset is 38 judging by the multistud fitment

40mm never looks enough but you can retain the comfort. 60mm looks spot on but the ride is very harsh.

can go as low as you want, as long as you prepare for arch mods etc etc

mine about 80mm with no mods to arches, it rubs slightly at front on shit shields

offset is the wheel and not the suspension, your stuck with whatever offset of wheel you have bought.

if you have the wrong offset (like me) you have to set the suspension up around the wheel..

Mine sits slighty higher then most, but thats just so corners and bumps are easyier to bounce around/over
